This Design Technics lamp, with glossy blue on matte black glaze, exudes high visual impact. The body of the lamp is high fired terracotta and weighs in at ___ lbs. and measures 15 in. (pottery only).  Design Technics was the pinnacle of quality in the mid-century era, employing designers and ceramists such Marguerite Wildenhain to their production plant in Stroudsburg, PA.  The company was in business from the late 1940s to the early 1970s. The company maintained a showroom in NYC and did a lot of their work to the order of interior designers there and from around the country. This piece has all the earmarks of a custom not molded, one-of-a-kind piece, c. 1950-1960s.
